Hunger Free Vermont

Hunger Free Vermont is the state’s leading anti-hunger advocacy and education organization. We carry out our mission of ending the injustice of hunger and malnutrition through a multi-pronged approach: advocacy at the state and federal levels; community organizing; outreach and public education; and technical assistance. We believe that everyone, at every age, has the right to food to sustain an active and healthy life. Our goal in all our areas of focus is to make sure that everyone has access to nutritious food when they need it, regardless of their financial situation.

Jenna O’Donnell is Hunger Free Vermont’s Community Engagement Manager. She has been part of Hunger Free Vermont’s team since 2015, helping to build the organization’s flagship community engagement program: the Hunger Councils of Vermont. Prior to joining Hunger Free Vermont, Jenna received her master’s degree in Community Development and Applied Economics from the University of Vermont, and has a background in food systems and farm-to-school. Originally from Massachusetts, Jenna lives with her husband and young daughter in Burlington.

Reema Garabadu is Hunger Free Vermont’s Community Engagement Specialist, and a SerVermont AmeriCorps member. Reema supports Hunger Free Vermont’s Hunger Councils, and will be helping to develop the organization’s community education and engagement tools. Reema is originally from Georgia and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Georgia.
