Kevin Endres, current past president, of the Colchester-Milton Rotary Club presented Todd Burgess with the 2018 Rotarian of the Year award at the annual change over dinner at the Hampton Inn on June 28th.
Following is a list of all awards presented by Kevin:
H. Clinton Reichard " Service Above Self" Award went to JOHN ABRY, for his extra work in setting up the food drive six years ago, expanding it this year to the entire month of February and raising over 2600 pounds of food and over $1500 for the Colchester, Milton and Grand Isle food shelves!

The Service Plug Award went to CHUCK KIRKER for being here quietly week in and week out to help set up our Rotary meetings!

The Long Haul Award went to EARL WERTHEIM to recognize his willingness to serve as Allocations Co-Chair as he prepares to spend his winters at the Indian Rocks Club in Florida!

The Rookie Of The Year Award went to GRETCHEN HIDELL expanding our presence on social media (particularly Facebook) and showing up at many events often just to take pictures and post them!

The ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD went to the Rotarian who made the biggest contribution to the success of our Club this year. TODD BURGESS was willing to take on the difficult job of re-organizing our accounting activities so that your Board could have clear and concise monthly reports at every Board Meeting! He did so in his quiet and professional manner and it has been recognized and appreciated.  Thank you Todd!

Because we have such a great Club, I chose to present some additional awards:

At our regular meeting on June 21, I recognized the hard work of TOM RAUB for attending virtually every MHS Interact Meeting and always being willing to help out with anything involving youth services.  He received the same paperweight that he presented to the Interact officers this year!

I presented a special Rotary pen to KELLY McCAGG for her terrific Bookkeeping Services.  She monitored and paid all of our bills quietly and efficiently.  She was a great teammate with Todd and together they made Colchester-Milton Rotary Accounting second to none!

I presented a special Sergeant-At-Arms hat to SKIP SMITH for his outstanding tenure at Sergeant-At-Arms.  He made every meeting fun and is a master at time management!

I presented my entire Board and Committee Chairs with Rotary hats and official Rotary Certificates of Appreciation for their hard work and time commitment!

I also presented two additional Certificates of Appreciation to RON LEWIS for agreeing to by my "songmeister" and CLINTON REICHARD, not only for attending most Board meetings as a valued advisor, but also showing up early to help set up our weekly meetings!

Every member of our Club contributes to our success and I appreciate all of our efforts, but tried to make note of those who gave that little extra and say thanks!

I enjoyed my year as your President and hope you did too!  Thank you for the opportunity.
