Only 5% of those eligible to donate blood in our country do so. When asked why they don't donate blood most Americans state that they have never been asked. You can no longer use that reason, as we are asking that you donate during our August blood drive.

Some of us may have been told in the past that we can't donate for one reason or another; the facts are that with the advance of technology many former restrictions have been overcome. If in doubt, I urge you to schedule an appointment to donate and go through the screening process. We're confident that you will be glad you did.

Regardless of your ability to donate, please help by recruiting family members and friends to join us in the blood drive.

As Rotarians each of us do many great things for our communities, however it is rare that we have the opportunity to do something with as great a potential to affect someone's life as donating blood. Won't you join us?
